UNSC Meet: The meeting of the Anti-Terrorist Committee will be held there at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai

Kamboj said that despite the efforts being made by the international community, the threat of terrorism remains. In such a situation, it is our concern to control the menace of terrorism using new technology. Our thoughts and experiences will help in planning the strategy ahead.

UNSC Meet: The meeting of the Anti-Terrorist Committee will be held there at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai

The meeting of the Anti-Terrorist Committee (CTC) of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is going to be held in the same Taj Hotel in Maharashtra, which was targeted by terrorists from Pakistan, in Mumbai, about 14 years ago.

According to Ruchira Kamboj, President of the Anti-Terrorism Committee (CTC), this time India will host the diplomats and other members of the committee of 15 member countries of the United Nations. This meeting is going to be held on 28th and 29th at the end of this month. In Mumbai. The upcoming meeting will be held at the same Taj Hotel in Colaba, which was targeted and destroyed by terrorists 14 years ago. CTC meetings are rarely held outside New York. India will be the seventh country to host this meeting. Kamboj said that despite the efforts being made by the international community, the threat of terrorism remains. In such a situation, it is our concern to control the menace of terrorism using new technology. Our thoughts and experiences will help in planning the strategy ahead.

On November 26, 2008, Mumbai was attacked by 10 terrorists who came by water route from Pakistan. Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, Hotel Taj in Colaba, Cama Hospital, Leopold Cafe and Nariman House were simultaneously attacked by terrorists, killing 166 people and injuring hundreds. Among the dead were 18 security personnel. These included three brave police officers of Mumbai, ATS chief Hemant Karkare, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar and Additional Police Commissioner Ashok Kamte.
