Umer Ahmed Ilyasi: Umer Ahmed Ilyasi got Y plus security, told RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat the father of the nation
Ilyasi told ANI, I thank the Government of India for the Y+ category security provided by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Ilyasi said that he was receiving phone threats from England, Dubai and Kolkata and after that he lodged a case at Tilak Lane police station, and also informed the Home Ministry.

All India Imam Sangathan chief Umar Ahmed Ilyasi has been provided Y+ category security after several threats to him after calling Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat the father of the nation. Ilyasi met Mr. Bhagwat on 22 September and described him as the 'Father of the Nation' and said that the RSS chief had visited Madrasa Tajveedul Quran in North Delhi on his invitation.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and other senior RSS functionaries had met Umar Ahmed Ilyasi at a mosque in New Delhi. The meeting took place at Kasturba Gandhi Marg and lasted for over an hour. Ilyasi said that ever since Mohan Bhagwat has come to our mosque, I am constantly getting threatening calls. I got a threatening call from England on 23rd September that now you will burn in the fire of Hell. "I called Mohan Bhagwat in the mosque and called him 'Father of the Nation' and 'Rashtra Rishi', so I am being threatened. Some fundamentalists do not like peace, love or peace in the country, these are the same people. He said that he would not bow down to these threats.
