It is worth noting that in connection with the murder of Praveen Nettaru in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, the police had detained more than 5 people for questioning. Talking to reporters in Sulia taluk of the district, ADGP (Law and Order) Alok Kumar had said that the matter is being investigated from all angles.

Some people tried to demolish the vehicle of BJP state chief Nalin Kumar Kateel. 32-year-old Praveen, a member of the District BJP Yuva Morcha Samiti, was killed by bike-borne assailants in front of his brother's shop on Tuesday night. The murder created tension at many places in Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday. There were incidents of stone pelting at some places and the police had to resort to mild lathi charge to control the situation.
