Two killed and more than 60 scorched due to fire in Durga Puja pandal in Bhadohi

At the time of aarti at the Durga pandal in Narthua, Aurai, the entire pandal was burnt to ashes due to a huge fire. During this, while 60 devotees got burnt, two died. In the preliminary investigation, short circuit is said to be the cause of the fire.

The flames of the fire were so strong that the entire pandal was burnt to ashes. On information, the fire brigade also reached the spot, but by then the entire pandal had burnt down. There was chaos at the Community Health Center. On getting information about the incident, District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi and SP Dr. Anil Kumar reached the spot. The scorched people were referred to the district hospital.

A large number of devotees were performing aarti at the Durga Puja pandal located in Narthua. At the same time, the curtain of the pandal caught fire. By the time people could understand, the fire assumed a horrific form. Seeing the whole pandal was burnt to ashes. There was a stampede among the people due to the fire. People started running here and there. The fire brigade team reached and the fire was brought under control. By the time it was brought under control, the entire pandal had burnt to ashes.

People who were burnt by the fire have been admitted to nearby government and other hospitals for treatment. Doctors and other medical teams are busy in the treatment. There is chaos in the hospital. According to the people, seeing the whole pandal started burning with smoke. The fire was so fierce that everyone was shocked to see the high flames. The cause of the fire is not yet known. District top officials are present on the spot.
