Twitter Termination : Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal may get Rs 3.45 billion

Elon Musk, who became the new owner of Twitter, has thrown out Parag Agarwal from the company. Parag was appointed CEO by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey in November last year. Apart from Parag of Indian origin, Musk has fired legal, policy and trust chief Vijaya Gadde and two other top officials on Twitter.

A New York Times report said that Musk signed a Twitter deal on Thursday for $ 44 billion. When Musk expressed his desire to buy Twitter in April this year, it was also discussed that Parag Agarwal could be removed. Research firm Equilar also calculated how much money he would get if Parag Agarwal was removed from the company by Musk after buying Twitter.

Equilar had said that if Parag was removed within 12 months of taking control of the company, they would receive about $42 million. Now let us also tell you that 42 million dollars is approximately Rs 3,457,145,328. According to news agency Reuters, Equilar's estimate includes one year's worth of Parag Agarwal's basic salary plus all equity awards. This estimate is based on Musk's offer of $54.20 per share for Twitter.

Elon Musk said in a securities filing on April 14 that he did not trust Twitter's management. Let us tell you that Parag Agarwal was the first Tiff Technology Officer (CTO) of Twitter. He got the post of CEO only in November last year. According to Reuters, he received a total compensation of $30.4 million in 2021. It was mostly in stock awards. Parag Agarwal, an alumnus of IIT Bombay and Stanford, was associated with Twitter for the past decade. The company then had less than 1,000 employees.
