Trying to figure out what the Congress is supposed to apologise for: Shashi Tharoor
Responding to BJP's demand for an apology from the Congress party for raising questions on the Pulwama terror attack in February 2019, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has said that he is still trying to figure out what the Congress is supposed to apologise for.

Responding to BJP's demand for an apology from the Congress party for raising questions on the Pulwama terror attack in February 2019, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has said that he is still trying to figure out what the Congress is supposed to apologise for.
"I am still trying to figure out what @INCIndia is supposed to apologise for. For expecting the government to keep our soldiers safe? For rallying around the flag rather than politicising a national tragedy? For expressing condolences to the families of our martyrs?," Tharoor said.
His response came against a tweet from the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar who said that a minister in Pakistan claimed that his country was behind the Pulwama attack.
On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber rammed his car into a military convoy in which 40 CRPF soldiers were killed.
"Pakistan has admitted its hand behind Pulwama terror attack. Now, Congress and others who talked of conspiracy theories must apologise to the country," Javadekar tweeted on Friday.
Tharoor tweeted a newspaper clipping which raised questions on intelligence failure and said, "I am also still waiting for the official inquiry into this tragedy to give the nation answers to these vital questions. Pakistani perfidy is not news. The Modi government providing honest explanations for these queries would be news indeed:"
