TRS leader Kavita seeks documents related to notice from CBI in Delhi Excise case

TRS MLC K. Kavita on Saturday asked the central agency to provide details, including copies of the complaint, in the matter after a CBI notice was issued for it to inquire in connection with the alleged scam in the Delhi Excise Policy. In a letter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) official who sent the notice to Kavita on Friday, he said that after receipt of the documents, a date for her meeting with the agency can be fixed in Hyderabad. He has said in the letter, “I have read the contents of the notice. I request you to kindly provide me the copies of the complaint regarding the office memorandum received from Pravin Kumar Roy, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter Kavitha said that the requested documents may be provided at the earliest so that she can be informed and give a befitting reply regarding the matter within a reasonable time. The CBI on Friday issued a notice to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader Kavitha for questioning her in the case on December 6. The probe agency has asked him to inform the place of his convenience for "interrogation" by 11 am that day. Kavita had said in a statement that she has informed the authorities that they can meet her at her Hyderabad residence. After her name cropped up in a remand report filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a Delhi court over alleged bribery in the scam, Kavita had said she was ready to face any probe.
