He said that like what happened in Pearl Harbor and 9/11, Russia is doing the same to Ukraine. Zelensky reminded the US Congress when Pearl Harbor was bombed in December 1941. He said that Ukraine is going through the same scenario each and every day and its cities are attacked daily by Russia.
In a virtual address, Zelensky expressed gratitude for America's support in the war with Russia. During the address, members of the US Congress paid respect to Zelensky and also gave him a standing ovation.
To extend their support to the people of Ukraine, the prime ministers of three neighboring countries, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia, arrived in Kyiv by train and met with Zelensky. NATO has called for a conference on March 24 in view of the conditions of war between Russia and Ukraine. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg tweeted that a conference has been held at NATO Headquarters on March 24.
