The passengers were returning to their village in Etah, Uttar Pradesh after visiting Khatu Shyam and Salasar Balaji temple when the accident occurred on Manoharpur highway in Rajasthan around 4-5 am, Dausa SP Sagar told PTI.
7 children and 4 women died in the accident, he added. Of the 11 killed, 7 have been identified as Poorvi (3), Daksh (12), Seema (25), Priyanka (25), Anshu (26), Saurabh (28) and Sheela (35), officials told PTI. 20 people were on board the vehicle when it hit the stationary truck in the service lane of the highway, the SP said. 1 of the 8 injured is critical.

Responding to the incident, SP Sagar Rana said, “Information was received about devotees coming from Khatu Shyam temple who met with an accident and till now, 10 casualties have occurred. Nearly seven to eight people have been referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur."
"Bapi PS area in Dausa district between 3:30 AM and 3:45 AM, an accident occurred between a container and a pick-up truck," DSP Sharma said.
"Nine people have been referred for treatment, and three are being treated in the District Hospital... The accident occurred between a passenger pick-up and a trailer truck," Kumar told ANI.

Taking to X, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed sorrow over the sudden loss of lives in the accident of devotees.
“The news of the loss of life in a horrific road accident in Dausa is extremely tragic. The district administration has been directed to ensure prompt and proper treatment for the injured. May God grant a place at His divine feet to the departed souls and provide speedy recovery to the injured," he wrote.
