Toyota aims to cover COVID-19 vaccination expenses of employees
Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced that an employee can either choose to reimburse the expenses incurred for both the doses of the Covid-19 vaccine or get them free of charge at the company-identified healthcare facility.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has proclaimed that it aims to comprise the Covid-19 vaccination cost of approximately 25,000 members. Furthermore, the company said that an employee can either choose to reimburse the expenditures incurred for both the doses of the Covid-19 vaccine or get them free of charge at the company-identified healthcare facility. In addition to this, the car manufacturer has also undertaken several preventive measures for the well-being of its employees like special COVID-19 insurance coverage, covid care kits, and paid leaves for absence due to infection or quarantine.
TKM Human Resources and Services Group Vice President Shankara G said that "our employees are our most valued asset and our top priority is to enhance the quality of life of our workforce and their families. We constantly evaluate and devise effective welfare programmes over and above the legislative criteria, in addition to ensuring a friendly working atmosphere."
"And especially during the pandemic, we assured constant support by providing facilities ranging from critical health programmes and priority doctor-on-call, mental and physical awareness to manage their health needs from home thereby reducing the load on local hospitals," he further added, "with this gesture, we aim to safeguard the health and safety of all our employees, their family members and the community at large."
From April 1, 2021, the automaker will increase the prices of its vehicles. The Toyota Glanza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Fortuner Legender, Toyota Camry, and Toyota Vellfire are among the automobile manufacturer's latest offerings.
In addition, the automaker's domestic sales in March were the highest since 2013, resulting in a 114% rise over wholesales compared to March 2020. TKM records an increase in both customer orders and inquiries. Following the release of the new Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender, the brand's success has increased even further.
