Tipu Sultan's birth anniversary will be celebrated at Idgah ground, Hubli Municipal Corporation has given permission to AIMIM
The meeting was attended by all the stakeholders and the members and chairman of the Standing Committee of the CVK body. Along with celebrating Tipu Jayanti, the Municipal Corporation has also given approval for the birth anniversary of Kannada female warrior Onake Obvva and Kanakdas Jayanti celebrations. The birth anniversary of Obvva and Kanakdas is falling on Friday.

Asaduddin Owaisi's party AIMIM i.e. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has got permission to celebrate Tipu Sultan's birth anniversary at Hubli Idgah ground. The BJP-ruled Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) has given permission to AIMIM to celebrate Tipu Jayanti at the Idgah ground. The birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore, will be celebrated on 10 November i.e. today. AIMIM and some other Dalit organizations had earlier filed an application to Hubli Municipal Corporation for permission. AIMIM and these organizations as well as Shri Ram Sena had also sought permission for Kanakdas Jayanti at the Idgah ground.
Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) on Wednesday allowed Tipu Jayanti celebrations at Hubli Idgah ground. The application for permission was given by AIMIM and Samta Sainik Dal. The decision to celebrate Tipu Sultan's birth anniversary at the Idgah ground was taken in a meeting. An HDMC statement said that these gatherings have been allowed with certain restrictions. According to the statement, these celebrations should be conducted with peace and harmony. Apart from this, the organizers will have to finish the program between 10 am and 12 noon. The organizers have been given permission to display the photographs of Tipu Sultan. However, there will be a ban on putting up any controversial banner or photo in any surrounding area.
