Till 31st December, Aadhaar-PF linking has been extended for these people
There was less seeding in the EPFO’s administrative zone of Noth Eastern Region and certain classes of establishments.
The Employee’s Provident Fund Organisation declared the deadline to link the Aadhaar card to the universal account number was extended. The entity made the announcement on 11th September 2021, that the deadline is extended for establishments in the North East as well as some other classes of establishments till 31st December 2021. The EPFO spread this notice through its Twitter account. This extension comes after the EPFO came to realize the severe inconvenience the deadline before which had to put on both employers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The entity said that the EPFO, with prior approval from the central government, extended the deadline of the AADHAR-UAN linking process for filing Electronic Challan cum Return. It mentioned the previous extension of the deadline to 1st September 2021. There were still challenges being faced by employers and employees in doing the task as there were alterations to be made.
