Thug Life Day 2 Box Office: Kamal Haasan Film Earns ₹52 Crore, Trails Behind Indian 2, PS 1 & 2

Thug Life Day 2 Box Office: Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam came together 38 years after Nayakan and fans were anticipating this association. Finally, the wait is finally over as Thug Life has released in theatres on June 6 featuring an ensemble star cast such as Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan others.

In fact, despite high expectation from the film fans, the movie had a disappointing start at the box office by earning only Rs 15.5 crore on day 1 in India. Let's check out the film's Day 2 collection.

It was expected to earn at least Rs 20 crore in day 1 but due to negative word of mouth, the movie did not reach its expectations and settled with only Rs 15.5 crore.

As per the early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, on day 2, the movie saw a huge drop and it was collected only Rs 7.50 crore which means, the film was dropped with a loss of more than 55 percent. With this, the total of the film's box office collection stands at Rs 23 Crore.

Thug Life experienced positive reviews for its awesome cinematography and visually beautiful representation, but it also received negative reviews for its poor storyline and slow screenplay. the box office seems to reflect that the film is more often described as a case of style over substance.
