Three reasons why Kashi-Vishwanath Corridor Project is crucial for pilgrims
The Kashi-Vishwanath Corridor Project, the first phase of which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is going to change the experience of devotees in several ways

Kashi-Vishwanath Corridor Project is based on the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create modern facilities for pilgrims who visit this religious place from across the globe. Here are five reasons why the facility up-gradation is crucial for visitors: -
It connects Kashi Vishwanath temple with ghats: Under the project, a corridor is being created so that devotes can easily bring water from the holy river Ganga and offer it in the temple. This will make their movement easy and without any hassle. Earlier, they had to pass through narrow streets with shops alongside which used to cause a lot of problems, especially for those who were disabled or old. Now with this project, it will provide a whole of ease in their movement.
Modern Accommodation and facilities: The project has several unique features under which better accommodation and public utilities will be provided to visitors which will change their experience. This includes Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, including Yatri Suvidha Kendras, Tourist Facilitation Centre, Vedic Kendra, Mumukshu Bhavan, Bhogshala, City Museum, Viewing Gallery, Food Court, among others.
Rediscovery of 400 ancient temples: During the destruction of old properties for the corridor, 400 ancient temples were rediscovered which have been preserved now. These temples have been restored and given a facelift ensuring that there will be no damage or alteration to their original look. The pilgrims can now have access to these temples along with the iconic Kashi Vishwanath temple. Old shops and other small commercial establishments have also been shifted to other nearby locations so that it will help visitors access those facilities existing earlier as well.
