Third wave in Delhi, 331 new cases in 24 hours; Night curfew in Kerala from December 30, in Karnataka from last night

Cases of corona infection in Delhi have started scaring again. In the last 24 hours, 331 new patients have appeared here. The positivity rate has also increased from 0.55% to 0.68% now. This is the highest after the last 6 months i.e. June.
On Sunday, 290 new cases were registered here. The rising cases are being considered as a sign of the third wave in Delhi. Here, the Kerala government has announced the imposition of night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am from December 30 to January 2 in view of the increasing cases of Omicron in the state. The Karnataka government has also instructed to impose night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am from 28 December to 7 January.
The figures for the new variant of Corona, Omicron, are also the highest in Delhi compared to other states across the country. As of Monday evening, 142 patients of Omicron have been found here. On the other hand, Maharashtra ranks second in the country with 141 cases of the new variant. So far, a total of 597 cases of Omicron have been reported across the country.
