'They Chased Him And Shot Him On The Street,' a suspected case of honour killing
According to police Vinay Dahiya was shot four times in the stomach and chest, while his wife Kiran received a wound on her neck.

On Thursday, when Jyoti was having supper the sound of gunfire broke the stillness of the night. It was her 23-year-old renter who was killed down and his newly-wed wife was seriously injured in an apparent case of honour killing.
"We were terrified when we heard numerous rounds of shooting coming from Vinay Dahiya's residence. We noticed several individuals after Vinay, who was fleeing for his life "Jyoti, the building's owner, confirmed the couple's presence. Around 9.30 p.m. on Thursday, police got a call reporting that a couple had been shot.
Reportedly, Vinay was shot four times in the stomach and chest, while his wife Kiran, 19, was shot in the neck, according to authorities. Vinay was declared dead at Venkateshwar hospital after the victims were taken there. On the other hand, Kiran is being treated at the hospital after attempting to flee through the terrace.
"When the event occurred, we were eating supper. I mistook the first shot for a tiny cylinder burst when I heard it. However, when the shots persisted, I knew the bullets were being fired. We were in our house with our children and were terrified, so we shut the doors."
"Nobody went upstairs, as far as we could tell. Vinay dashed downstairs and dashed into the street in an attempt to save his life. He was pursued by the guys, who shot him in the street. People afterwards contacted the cops and the victim was taken to the hospital, "Jyoti said.
When it was discovered that Kiran had also been shot, she was rushed to the hospital, told the owner. As per Jyoti, the couple rented the property on 20th June.
"They just moved in on the second floor three days ago. They did not bring their luggage with them when they moved and stated that they would bring it from their former residence. Vinay used to work as an airport cab driver," she added.
There were bloodstains on the second-floor steps, and a packet of food was discovered at the front entrance.
Raguvendra Khurana, who rents the property next door to the victim, claimed he shut himself inside the house when he heard gunshots.
"On Thursday, at 8:50 p.m., the event occurred. On the second level of the building, three individuals came. I was terrified and barricaded myself inside the home when I heard bullets being fired. I work from home at night and sleep during the day. I was so terrified last night that I couldn't work. Those noises will be with me forever "According to Khurana.
He stated the couple had just been in the residence for two to three days.
"I've been here for a month, and the couple moved in three days ago. I didn't say anything to them," he claimed.
