The process of talks between India & China is ongoing and our aim is to Reduce Tensions, says Army Chief General Manoj Pande
After taking charge, Army chief General Manoj Pande in an interview said in regards to the India-China border tension that the pivotal aim will be to reduce border stirs.

In a major diplomatic development pertaining to the India-China Border situation, Army Chief Manoj Pande said that the talks between India and China are ongoing. He indicated optimism amidst the tension between the two nations over borders indicating that the countries will eventually find a solution.
The Army Chief further added talking about the border situations with China said that "Our troops are holding important physical positions. We are very clear that we will not permit any change in the status quo and any loss of territory. In the end, our aim is to reduce the tensions along the Line of Actual Control and the restoration of the status quo takes place at the earliest."
He further quoted, "The process of talks between India & China is ongoing. We believe this is the way forward. We are confident that as we continue to talk with the other side we will find a resolution to the ongoing issues. In terms of our preparedness levels, we have inducted additional equipment and troops in those areas, as well as infrastructure. Our focus has also been on infrastructure development to match logistic and operation requirements."
