The order of ration card surrender or cancellation was told by the Uttar Pradesh government as misleading.

For the past several days, the Uttar Pradesh government has put an end to the discussions of ration card surrender and cancellation in Uttar Pradesh. 

The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday clarified its stand on the rumor going on for the past several days regarding the ration card. Yogi Adityanath government made it clear that no new order has been issued regarding surrender of ration cards or their cancellation anywhere in the state. The State Food Commissioner has termed the news broadcast in this regard as baseless and misleading. He said that ration card verification is a common process in the state. It is not right to unnecessarily stress the normal process.

In a clear instruction issued by the Info Uttar Pradesh Fact Check Branch of Uttar Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department, it has been said that misleading posts regarding surrender and recovery of ration cards are being made viral on internet media platforms. In this regard, it is to be informed that no order for surrender or recovery of ration card has been issued by the Uttar Pradesh government.
