The minister got furious when the fare of Delhi-Darbhanga was almost doubled from the Delhi-Dubai route.

In the festive season, airlines companies have increased the prices of air tickets. The situation is such that going abroad is getting cheaper, but going from one city to another within the country is almost twice the cost of going abroad. To go from the country's capital New Delhi to the northern Bihar city of Darbhanga, travelers have to pay almost double the cost of going to Dubai. Minister in Bihar government Sanjay Kumar Jha has raised questions on this and asked what kind of flight plan is this? He tweeted.

The minister has also shared screenshots of ticket fares of some airlines by tweeting, which shows that the fare of SpiceJet's nonstop flight from New Delhi to Darbhanga on October 22, 2022 is Rs 21,420, while on the same day New Delhi Air India's non-stop fare for going from Dubai to Dubai is Rs 11,690. SpiceJet is charging Rs 12,049 for Dubai on the same day.
