The Kapil Sharma show is all set to return in May

The Kapil Sharma Show which is Sony Entertainment’s uber popular comedy show is all set to return to people’s television sets in the month of May. The show added to its huge popularity new heights with unique formats during the lockdown when initially Bollywood stars and singers could not manage to visit the sets due to Covid19 restrictions.

The comedic show went off-air during the month of February when the show’s lead actor-comedian Kapil Sharma announced his paternity sabbatical. The comedian and his wife Ginni were blessed with a baby boy earlier in the year and wanted some quality family time.

Krushna Abhishek who plays many recurring roles in the show, including his most popular character of Sapna confirmed the news of the show’s return in an interview with E Times. He said, “The show is returning to TV in May. We haven't finalised the date yet. Yes, there will be new things this time also. The set will go under a revamp. We will have a new set and there will be a few new additions also and I will give you good news about it soon," he further added, “Kapil and I discussed a lot over the phone as we both want the show to return soon. He is also gearing up and excited that we will be doing the new season and new things."

Kapil Sharma and Krushna Abhishek have had a roller coaster of a relationship, they both go long back when they started off as colleagues and competitors on the Sony’s show ‘Comedy Circus’. They have had some ugly exchange of words in the media, but Krushna was all praise for his Show-runner, “Kapil is a very creative person, he's very sharp and his brain works fast as far as humour is concerned. The entire team is going to sit together and decide what all has to be done. But we are excited to be back once again."

While Salman Khan Television (SKTV) and Banijay Asia are all set to co-produce the new installment of The Kapil Sharma Show.The rejuvenation of the show, along with changes to the set, cast and writers will be exciting to the huge fans and audience of the show.
