This year , in the month of March the heat broke the record of 122 years. People became helpless from the heat. Earlier in 1901, March had been the hottest month. In contrast, it received the lowest rainfall since 1908. Northwest India recorded 5.2 mm of rain, which was 47.5 mm (89 per cent) below normal.

The temperature is rising rapidly in North India. Heat wave conditions persist in many states. But people in north-east Bihar can expect some relief from the rising temperature. According to the India Meteorological Department, light rain may occur over Northeast Bihar and Tamil Nadu. At the same time, people are likely to get slight relief from the increase in maximum temperature and heat wave in Jharkhand for the last several days.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heat wave in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha and Gujarat. Apart from this, heat wave conditions will prevail in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR and Madhya Pradesh during April 06. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi can be 18 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is 39 degree Celsius.
