According to news agency ANI, the Maharashtra Health Department has informed that "A 52-year-old man who had traveled to Nigeria died of a heart attack on December 28 in Pimpri chinchwad. The patient died of non-Covid causes. Today's NIV report shows that he was infected with Omicron "
Significantly, Maharashtra has registered 5,368 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. With this the number of active cases reached 18,217. The number of Omicron cases has increased to 450 in the state. 198 such cases have been registered in the state in the last 24 hours.
