Tetra Pack and Milkbasket partner to ease carton recycling
Under this initiative, Milkbasket users can also place a pick-up request along with their normal grocery delivery orders with the help of the app. You can then drop the used carton in a Milkbasket bag outside your door.

Packaging and processing solutions provider Tetra Pack has joined hands with Reliance-owned Milkbasket. It is India's first and largest daily micro-delivery service to help consumers recycle their used beverage cartons with the help of Milkbasket app.
The delivery agent, at the time of delivery of the groceries, will pick up these used coaches and take them back to a central hub. From here, the carton will be delivered to the nearest recycler with the help of Tetra Pack. This recently launched initiative brings together the understanding of Tetra Pack's collection and recycling ecosystem and the delivery and logistics capability of Milk Baskets, to accelerate the recycling of used cartons. Since its launch a few days back, Milkbasket has received nearly 200 pick-up requests so far.
Speaking about the partnership, Yatish Talvadia, CEO & Founder, MilkBasket said, “MilkBasket's digital customers are highly sensitive to the needs of environmental protection. Whenever they see such an initiative, their participation is naturally very encouraging to contribute to the efforts of Milkbasket and Tetra Pack. We are very excited to be a part of this recycling program.
Ashutosh Manohar, Managing Director, Tetra Pack South Asia said, “With this unique partnership with MilkBasket, we are delighted to expand our used carton collection and recycling network. Recycling is an important tool for protecting the environment and as an industry we need to keep building the ecosystem to make recycling sustainable. Here the role of the consumer is of paramount importance. The participation of the consumer in this entire process will determine the success of the recycling.
