Terrorist Attack on Army Vehicle in Sunderbani, Rajouri: The incident of firing on the Army's vehicle occurred Wednesday in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri district in Jammu, by terrorists.
The incident happened around 1 pm in the forest area near Phall village along the Sunderbani-Malla Road, where one or two rounds were fired at a 9 JAK vehicle while patrolling the area. So far no casualties have been reported. The area is considered a traditional infiltration route for the infiltrators.

“At 1300 hours (1 pm), an army vehicle was fired upon at Village Phall near Water Tank, a forest area area, on Sunderbani-Malla road close to the LoC,” officials familiar with the matter said.
Around two rounds were fired upon the patrol vehicle that belonged to 9 JAK rifles, they added.
The officers confirmed that the whole area has been cordoned off and more reinforcements have been rushed. The search operation has been launched with the army on full alert.
When contacted for confirmation, the Defence spokesperson confirmed that firing had indeed taken place at Sunderbani, although he had no further details.

Pakistani intruder shot dead in Punjab
According to officials, BSF troops shot dead a Pakistani intruder in the early hours on Wednesday along the international border in Pathankot, Punjab, the agency PTI reported.
Unusual movement was observed by BSF personnel in the Border Outpost Tashpatan area along the international border. When BSF troops challenged the intruder, he refused to stop and continued into Indian territory.
The officials quoted by PTI said that the intruder was shot dead and the identification is being ascertained.
A statement from the BSF, Jammu frontier, said the matter would be taken up with Pakistan Rangers in strong protest.
Even in Punjab, the BSF patrols along the India-Pakistan international border, covering a stretch of 553 km.
