Terror Funding: Big action by NIA and ED on PFI bases, Union Home Minister held high level meeting
Officials said searches are being conducted at several places for terror funding, organizing training camps and joining banned outfits. The National Executive Council of PFI has condemned the nationwide action taken by NIA-ED. He said that the arrest and harassment of leaders and action against the members and supporters of the organization is wrong. He said that behind the baseless claim of NIA is to create an atmosphere of terror.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today called a high level meeting regarding the action taken on PFI bases across the country. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Director General of National Investigation Agency (NIA) Dinkar Gupta attended the meeting. In the meeting, the search of premises linked to PFI and action against terror suspects were discussed. Amit Shah took stock of the action taken against PFI workers and suspects across the country, an official said.
In the countrywide terror funding case, raids were conducted on PFI locations in 11 states under the leadership of NIA. In the raids, 106 PFI workers were arrested for allegedly supporting terrorist activities in the country. In several raids conducted by the joint team of NIA, ED and state police, 22 from Kerala, 20 from Karnataka, 20 from Maharashtra, 5 from Andhra Pradesh, 9 from Assam, 3 from Delhi, 4 from Madhya Pradesh, 3 from Puducherry, Rajasthan 2 people have been arrested from Tamil Nadu, 10 from Tamil Nadu and 8 from Uttar Pradesh.
