An FSL team reached the spot on Monday morning to investigate the violence that broke out after stone-pelting on Saturday on the procession of Hanuman Jayanti in the Jahangirpuri area of Delhi. The team will collect forensic evidence from here. The forensic team is investigating the mosque and its surrounding streets and the roofs from which stones were pelted are also being investigated.
The police arrested 21 people, including the main accused Ansar, in the violence that broke out after stone pelting on the procession of Hanuman Jayanti in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area on Saturday. Apart from these, 2 minors have also been arrested. About 21 people are being taken into custody and interrogated. The police on Sunday produced 14 accused in the court, from where 12 were sent to jail, while Ansar and Aslam, accused of firing, are in one-day police custody. The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent five more companies of CRPF and RAF to the area as a precaution. Delhi Police has handed over the investigation of the case to the Crime Branch.
