Temperature in Delhi dips to 3.8 degrees
The city of New Delhi is not a stranger to cold weather. Every year, in these months, the weather gets chilly and cold and Delhi witnesses fog smouldered with pollution. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the city has dipped to a 3.8 degrees Celsius this Friday.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the city has dipped to a 3.8 degrees Celsius this Friday.
The IMD has also forecasted that in the upcoming days, the temperature is most likely to stay the same in the city. The weather stations at Delhi's Palam and Lodhi Road recorded a minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius and 4 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday. On an average, the temperature was recorded at 3.8 Degrees.
Cold Waves, which is nothing new for the national capital is also on its way to set foot in the city. Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions have been forecasted for the Northwest India till January 3 and Delhi will be facing a major chunk of this wave. According to the IMD, A "severe" cold wave is when the minimum temperature dips to 2 degrees Celsius or the departure from normal is more than 6.4 degrees Celsius.
