TCS Work from Home Ends for Employees, Asks Workers to Come to Office Thrice a Week
TCS Ends Work From Home; Makes It Mandatory For Employees To Work Three Days From Office.

Indian Software giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in the latest notification has asked its employees to come back to offices at least thrice a week. With this, the company has terminated its years-long work-from-home policy which was initially triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. As the situation gets normalized, and the Covid pandemic seems to subside, the employees of the firm have received an email that mentions that Work From Home would not be possible anymore.
The email read, “As you are aware, we have started work from the office and our senior leaders have been working from TCS offices for a while now as things have become normal. It is now time that our larger teams should start working from the office as well.
The mail further read, "As part of our ‘Return to Office’ initiative, all TCSers are expected to work from the office at least 3 days a week. Your respective managers will now roster you to work from the TCS office and you shall receive notifications regarding the same"
Netizens, however, do not agree well with the decision. A TCS employee, said, " I do not understand, our client meetings anyway happen virtually. Why do they want us to work from offices when we are more productive from home? With the peanuts they pay, we are able to save up on rent money and other expenses that would be inevitable living in a metro city. We're able to work and stay with our families but of course, why would corporations care?
Another employee told Moneycontrol, "All employees have been advised to return to the base locations where they were operating before the pandemic. Those employees who have sought and got transfers will operate from the changed locations."
