Taliban starts showing its colours, bars women from Teaching and attending Kabul University
The school's new Taliban appointed chancellor announced that, "Women will no longer be allowed to attend classes or work at Kabul University "until an Islamic environment is created." This comes as an inevitable decision since the Taliban took over Afghanistan.

Taliban leaders demonstrated Patriarchy and intermixed misogyny with their new university policy. The policy showcases the Taliban's first time in power when females were only allowed in public if accompanied by a male relative.

The CNN reported that Mohammad Ashraf Ghairat stated in a tweet, that "As long as real Islamic environment is not provided for all, women will not be allowed to come to universities or work. Islam first."
The new university policy brings us a sad nostalgia, Taliban's first time in power, in the 1990s, when women were only allowed in public if accompanied by a male relative and would be beaten for disobeying. At that time, women were kept away from school, in all entirety.
Around 70 teaching staff of the Kabul University, including assistant professors have resigned after the Taliban sacked PhD holder Vice-Chancellor Muhammad Osman Baburi and replaced him with Muhammad Ashraf Ghairat, a BA degree holder.Women all across the world have been standing in solidarity with the women in Afghanistan, whose rights have been ransacked.
