Take strict action against those who do not wear masks, DGCA instructs airlines amidst increasing cases of corona

The Director General of Civil Aviation, ie DGCA has asked the airlines to take strict action against those who do not wear masks. These instructions have been given when the cases of corona virus infection increase. Aviation regulator DGCA has asked airlines to take strict action against passengers not wearing masks. There will be sudden inspections in airports and airlines and action will be taken against passengers who do not follow the rules.

Airlines have been asked to ensure that passengers wear masks inside aircraft, aviation regulator DGCA issued today in view of the increasing number of COVID cases. It said that, if any passenger does not follow the instructions, strict action will be taken against the passenger by the airline. DGCA said that surprise inspection of passengers will be done at airports and airlines.

The DGCA has said that airlines will have to ensure that passengers wear face masks properly throughout the journey and ensure proper sanitization through various platforms.

Taking note of a circular issued in June, the aviation regulator said that it should be strictly followed. According to the order issued in June, face masks can be removed only in exceptional circumstances and if permission is given for any reason. Under the order, airports were asked to increase surveillance. Anyone without wearing a mask was to be stopped from entering. Appropriate hygiene measures including the provision of sanitizers at prominent places inside the airport were also advised.

In March, the rules of masks were relaxed in Delhi with the abolition of the fine of Rs 500 for rule violation. This decision was taken by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority after the continuously decreasing positivity rate of corona virus. After this, the masks stopped showing on the faces of the people on the streets. But in the last few weeks, cases of hospitalization and deaths of corona infected are increasing continuously. The number of hospitalizations in Delhi has increased by more than 60 percent since August 1. The positivity rate is 19.20 percent, which is the highest in 200 days.

Significantly, 9062 new cases of corona were registered in India in the 24 hours ended on Wednesday morning. Whereas on Tuesday, 8813 cases of corona were reported. In this context, an increase in corona cases was registered today. In the last 24 hours, 15,220 patients recovered from Corona. After which the number of people recovering from Corona reached 4,36,54,064. The number of active loads of corona in India is 1,05,058. At the same time active cases are 0.24%. While the recovery rate is currently 98.57 percent. In the last 24 hours, 3,64,038 tests of corona were conducted. After which the total test figure of corona reached 88.10 crores.
