Switzerland approves Pfizer vaccine for children older than 5 years, trial conducted on more than 1500 children

Switzerland's Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (SwissMedic) on Friday approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years there. Swissmedic said in a statement on its website that we have carefully studied the data submitted with Pfizer-BioNtech's application. Clinical trial results show that the vaccine is safe and has shown effective results when applied to children of this age.

According to the statement, this study was done on more than 1500 children and it was found that it is completely safe for children between 5 and 11 years of age. The agency also reported that side effects such as fatigue, headache, fever and pain in the hands and feet were observed along with pain at the injection site.
