Suresh Raina Retirement: Suresh Raina retires from domestic cricket, will not play IPL

Mr IPL Suresh Raina, who retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020, will no longer play domestic cricket for IPL and Uttar Pradesh. He has informed the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In a way, it can be said that after international cricket, he has also retired from domestic cricket. He will now be seen playing in cricket leagues at home and abroad, like Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, etc. do. Now Suresh Raina has officially given this information by tweeting.

Raina, who scored 5528 runs in 205 IPL matches, was not retained by Chennai Super Kings last year and was not bought by the rest of the teams in the players' auction. Raina has been practicing for the last one week at the RPL Cricket Ground in Ghaziabad. Raina told that I want to play cricket for two-three years now. Now good boys have arrived in Uttar Pradesh and they have handled the team well. I took NOC (No Objection Certificate) from UPCA. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and Vice President Rajiv Shukla were also informed about this. I thank BCCI and UPCA for supporting me so far. Now I am free to play the rest of the leagues.

Suresh Raina said that I will first play in the Road Safety World Series starting from September 10. Apart from this, leagues from South Africa, Sri Lanka, UAE have also contacted. I'll let you know as soon as things clear up. Raina has scored 5615 not out in 226 ODIs for India with five centuries and 36 half-centuries. He has scored 768 runs in 18 test matches. He has also played 78 T20 Internationals for India in which he has scored 1605 runs with the help of one century and five half-centuries.
