Supreme Court : The place of 'Shivling' should be sealed, Namaz should not be interrupted
The law also prohibits filing of claim for the return of the place of worship. Considering the legality of this law in the Supreme Court is very important in the present circumstances.

The Supreme Court heard the Gyanvapi Masjid dispute on a petition by Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid, challenging the Varanasi Court's order. The Varanasi court had ordered a videographic survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex, which is adjacent to the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court has given an important order. The Supreme Court has directed the District Magistrate of Varanasi to protect the place where Shivling was found at Gyanvapi Mosque in Banaras. But said that there will be no restriction on Muslims going to the mosque and offering prayers. The court also issued notice to the Hindu side on the petition of the Masjid Committee. The Supreme Court turned down the demand of the Masjid Committee to stay the hearing of the lower court. The top court did not order a stay on the hearing.
The top court has fixed Thursday for the next hearing. During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that in the survey Shivling has been found in the Vazukhana of the mosque, which is a place to wash hands and feet. The place of prayer in the mosque is different.
According to the Place of Worship Act, the status of places of worship will remain the same as it was on 15 August 1947. However, the Ram Janmabhoomi of Ayodhya has been kept out of the purview of this law. The law says that all the cases other than the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case will be deemed to have ended.
Referring to the petition before a bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana, on Friday, on behalf of the Masjid Committee, it was requested to hear the matter soon and order to maintain the status quo, but the court did not give any order on that day. refused and said that they would first look at the case file.
