The recent report of The New York Times has sparked controversy across the nation. The report mentions that Israeli spyware Pegasus and a missile system were the "centrepieces" of a roughly $2-billion dollar deal of the sophisticated weapons and intelligence gear between India and Israel in 2017. After the report was published in The New York Times, the central government came under a heavy criticism and was accused of blatantly lying and deceiving the entire Parliament.
