Actor-turned politician Sunny Deol turned Covid positive in Himachal Pradesh

Covid 19 is spreading fast. Though awareness campaign is being conducted by the government and people are advised to take necessary steps on individual level yet Covid-19 is spreading its tentacles and many celebrities have also fallen prey to this.

Now, the latest victim is Bollywood actor and BJP MP from Gurdaspur Sunny Deol, who has been found infected with Covid-19.

Himachal Pradesh Health Secretary Amitabh Awasthi provided information on this. He said that Deol had been living in Kullu district for the last few days.

Health Secretary said that according to information received from the district chief medical officer, the MP and his friends were planning to leave for Mumbai, but they were found infected with Covid-19 investigation report on December 1.

The actor also took to his Twitter handle and said that he got his Covid-19 test done and was reported positive.

He said that he is in isolation at present and his health is fine.

He requested all those people who came in contact with him in the last few days to get themselves isolated and follow Covid-19 protocol. He asked all those people to get their test done also.

Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing a spurt in Covid-19 cases for the past few days and health experts say that it is due to the change in behaviour of people.

They say that people have lowered their guards and are not taking precautions mandatory to contain the spread of the infection.

They advise people to stay at home as much as they can.
