Students Will Be Graded Based On The Results Of Mid-Term Exams As Delhi Government Cancels Exams For Class 9 And 11
Manish Sisodia, Delhi Education Minister, declared that the Class 9 and Class 11 examinations would be abolished. The tests had been postponed previously, but they have now been canceled.
The Delhi government, lead by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has announced the cancellation of Class 9 and 11 exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Students will be judged based on their performance in mid-term examinations, according to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's announcement.
During the press conference, the Minister outlined rules for schools to use in grading pupils in grades 9 and 11, as well as discussing the admissions process.
Students interested in enrolling in Delhi government schools in grades 6–9 can do so between June 11 and June 30. By July 14, the final selection list will be announced. The second registration round will take place from July 23 to August 6.
On June 22, the results of Class 9 and 11 in Delhi government schools will be announced. The results will be available on the Internet, via SMS, and via WhatsApp for students.
Due to the epidemic, the CBSE has also canceled the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for this year. The kids in Class 10 are being evaluated using a different method of evaluation. Internal assessments receive 20 points, 10 points for periodic/unit tests, 30 points for half-yearly exams, and 40 points for pre-board exam scores, according to the assessment plan.
In the event that a school does not undertake a particular component of assessment, each school has formed a Result Committee to determine the criteria for assigning marks. The CBSE has yet to announce the evaluation criterion for Class 12 pupils.
