Stirring increased in Delhi regarding Afghanistan : NSA Doval will attend
While two senior US officials have reached New Delhi for discussions with India, some senior officials of the previous governments of Afghanistan like Dr. Abdullah Abdullah are also present here.

Delhi has once again become the center of discussion about Afghanistan amid discussions about reopening the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan.
An important meeting is also going to take place in Dushanbe between China, Russia, Iran and Central Asian countries on the restoration of peace in Afghanistan, whose importance can be understood from the fact that NSA Ajit Doval is participating in it. Indications are that the strategy adopted by India to show restraint in Afghanistan is showing positive signs.
On the other hand, some tension is clearly visible in the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. US Special Representative (for Afghanistan) Thomas West visited India a day earlier and held talks with senior State Department officials.
West has said that he had a meeting with JP Singh, Joint Secretary (Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which India's aid to Afghanistan and other topics were discussed. He also appreciated the efforts made by India to increase the capacity of humanitarian services in Afghanistan.
The issue of Afghanistan has always been raised in PM Narendra Modi's talks with the heads of other countries in recent months. In this sequence, the talks on Afghanistan for the next two days in Dushanbe are of great importance. Apart from Tajikistan, the National Security Advisors (NSA) of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, besides China, Russia, Iran and India will participate in this meeting.
