SRK Death Threat Case: Man Claims Phone Used for Threat Call Was Stolen | Exclusive Details

SRK Death Threat Case: Hours after death threats were reported against Shah Rukh Khan, it was found that the owner of the phone number used in the threat call had reported his phone lost on November 2 and had filed a police complaint the same day.

According to CNN News18, the threat call was made from a Raipur number in Chhattisgarh. When the police contacted the owner of the number, he told them he had lost his phone on 2 November and had filed a complaint at a local police station in Raipur the same day.

On 5 November, the death threat call was made to Mumbai Police around 8 am. The caller introduced himself as ‘Hindustani.’ The caller said he was outside Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat, and was making the call.

Bandra police of Mumbai received a threat call on 5 November, three days after Faizan allegedly lost his phone, from an unknown caller who threatened Shahrukh Khan and demanded Rs 50 lakh as extortion money.

“I am calling Shah Rukh from Mannat Bandstand. If he doesn’t give me 50 lakhs, I will kill him," the report quoted him as saying over the call.

A case was registered against an unknown person at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai for threatening actor Shah Rukh Khan. The case has been registered under sections 308(4), 351(3)(4) of BNS. No arrests have been made so far. Meanwhile, King Khan is silent on the death threat.

“Faizan was called to the police station and told that a crime has been registered against him since the threat caller used the phone number registered on his name. He said that his phone was lost or stolen and he had informed the police. Faizan also submitted related documents with the Mumbai police,” CSP Kumar said.

Since 2023, SRK’s security has been beefed up after he revealed he had received death threats post Pathaan and Jawan.

Bandra police had filed an FIR under Sections of extortion involving death threats and grievous hurt and criminal intimidation and had started the investigation when they found the call traces in Chhattisgarh and a team reached Raipur on Thursday.

Mumbai Police has given Y+ security to the Baadshah of Bollywood. He is the second big Bollywood star after Salman Khan to receive death threats in recent days.
