Sputnik Vaccine : The vaccine manufactured in India will be supplied soon

Corona vaccination is being done rapidly in India. In the meantime, another vaccine dose can be found. Dr Reddy Laboratories Limited, which is producing Russia's Sputnik V Vaccine in India, expects to start receiving this vaccine during September-October.

MV Raman, chief executive officer of key markets of drug maker Dr Reddy, said that the rapid rise in new cases of Covid-19 in Russia is delaying the arrival of Sputnik V supplements to India. The situation may improve by the end of August. He said, “Local manufacturers are currently in the process of adopting the technology and ramping up production. We hope that the Sputnik V vaccine manufactured in India will be available during September-October.

Dr Reddy actually signed an agreement with the Direct Investment Fund of Russia in May 2021 for the production of Sputnik V in India. Russia's Direct Investment Fund has tied up with six Indian pharmaceutical companies for the production of the Sputnik V vaccine. Under this agreement, Dr Reddy's will sell the first 12.5 crore doses of this vaccine in India. Raman told that the Sputnik V vaccine was launched in 80 cities across the country for vaccination and so far 2.5 lakh people have been vaccinated.
