South-West District of Delhi Police arrested two robbers, recovered valuables within 12 hours of committing crime
The robbers looted an air passenger of his valuables such as ATM cards, driving licence etc at knifepoint while he was on his way home.

A team of Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of South-West district has solved a blind robbery case within 12 hours and nabbed the two robbers. They have recovered a knife used by the robbers to commit the crime and valuables of the victim such as two ATM cards, one PAN card, one Aadhar card, one voter ID card and one driving licence.
Victim Anoop Kumar Kushwha made a PCR call on November 30 and complaint that while he was crossing through a forest area in front of Steel Gate of Domestic airport, Mehram Nagar, Delhi Cantt, three unknown persons stopped him and robbed him of his valuables on the knifepoint.
Delhi Cantt police station registered a case and immediately took up the investigation.
"We sensed the gravity of the offence and tasked a dedicated team of AATS/South West Distt to develop information about the criminals operating in the area. Several other teams were also constituted under the direct supervision of ACP/Ops," Gaurav Sharma, Dy. Commissioner of Police, South-West District, New Delhi
He added, "The team of AATS made sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers, analyzed CCTV footages and collected intelligence about local criminals. In continuation of all outdrive, traps were mounted at strategic locations to identify robbers. The perseverance and efforts of the team bore fruits when credible information was received and the next day on December 1, on the basis of smart policing, two robbers were apprehended."
The team of AATS/South West Distt that successfully handled the operation was comprised of SI Ravinder Kumar, ASI Praveen, HC Jaipal, Ct Akash, Ct Narender, Ct Mohit, Ct Rakesh, Ct. Raghuvinder and Ct. Ravinder led by Insp. Rajesh Malik, Incharge/AATS, South West Distt under supervision of ACP/Ops Abhinendra Jain.
The accused were interrogated at length who disclosed the commission of the robbery. During sustained interrogation, both accused stated that they were sitting in the park opposite the steel gate of the Domestic Airport and consuming drugs. They saw one passerby passing through the forest and planned to rob him.
One of the accused put a knife at his back and demanded articles and cash from the victim. When the victim resisted, he hit him on his face and injured his right-hand finger with the knife. Further, his associates took away his purse and mobile from his pocket. Thereafter, they ran away with his belongings.
