Sourav Ganguly Meets Dravid, Sanju Samson; Sends Strong Message to Vaibhav Suryavanshi After KKR Debacle
Vaibhav Suryavanshi had to content himself with scores of 0 and 4 in Jaipur after a blistering 100 off 35 balls.

Sourav Ganguly Meets Dravid: On Sunday, at the Eden Gardens, after the Rajasthan Royals-Kolkata Knight Riders encounter, former India captain Sourav Ganguly met the IPL wunderkind Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Vaibhav, following up on his record-breaking innings last week at Jaipur against Gujarat Titans, found himself failing in consecutive innings, this time getting dismissed cheaply for four in a losing cause.
The Royals had posted a video on their social media channels-cum-timeline which was later deleted-afterward, in which one could see Ganguly meeting Sanju Samson with franchise head coach Rahul Dravid, following which he met Vaibhav, a left-hander himself like the legend.

As per a report published in Sangbad Pratidin, Ganguly even took a look at Vaibhav's bat, which he felt was a bit heavy. He also gave the 14-year-old, who returned scores of 0 and 4 after a 35-ball ton, some encouraging words. "I have seen your game. Keep playing the way you play fearless cricket. There is no need to change the game," he said as quoted by the Bengali publication.
Coming into the week preceding this one, Vaibhav has given the country something to look forward to after smashing Sawai Mansingh Stadium last week in becoming the youngest-ever batter to score a T20 century. That 35-ball century is the fastest century by an Indian batter in the IPL and second-fastest overall.

It's been quite a forgettable chasing experience for the Royals in IPL 2025, having suffered many agonizing near defeats that prevented them from entering the playoffs.
On Sunday, a historic first-time sixth sixer got struck in the IPL in the first match; in both balls faced, Riyan Parag scored 95 off 45 balls, basically grafting the visitors to come back from 5 down at 71 in the eighth over. And then Rajasthan, when batting second, lost the game by just one in trying to chase 207.
Sitting rather low at eighth in a 10-team run, Rajasthan can no longer entertain thoughts of the play-offs.
