“On preliminary inquiry, it surfaced that injured namely Krishana, resident of Loni Ghaziabad was having some monetary issues with Aakash Gupta. At around 4:30 PM, Aakash Gupta along with his 2-3 associates caught Krishna at the latter’s relative’s shop in Sonia Vihar and took him towards Yamuna Khadar side,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North-East District, said.

He added, “There both had an altercation and Aakash Gupta stabbed Krishna multiple times. On chasing by the locals Aakash and his associates fled the spot. Accordingly, on the basis of the complaint, a case was registered and the investigation was taken up.”

During the course of the investigation a police team comprising SI Amit, HC Devender, Const. Ashish and Const. Sunil with the technical assistance of ASI Bijender and under the supervision of SHO/Sonia Vihar, put up their best efforts in nabbing the accused person.

While investigating the case, the police team deployed technical surveillance and collected human intelligence from its sources. While on the run Aakash switched off his mobile phone to avoid detection by the police team.
