Shweta Bachchan Marriage Advice to Aishwarya Rai Goes Viral: ‘She Has Immense Patience…’

It was asked of Shweta Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan to give Aishwarya Rai wedding tips in a talk not long after she married Abhishek Bachchan.

In the second season, the mother and daughter went on Koffee With Karan together. They got more people when Hema Malini and her daughter Esha Deol showed up. Karan Johar, the host, asked them to give them tips during the rapid fire round.

A clip from the show that was shared on Reddit showed Shweta telling Aishwarya that she doesn't need any marriage tips.

“She is perfect, I don’t think we need to give her anything. And she has immense patience which is going to take her really face. She is fine, she doesn’t need any (advice),” Shweta said.

Jaya said, “She should continue being as lovingly and as dignified as she is.” 

The wedding between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai took place in 2007. They had been friends for a while and worked together in movies like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000) and Kuch Naa Kaho (2003).

Their relationship grew stronger while they were filming Umrao Jaan in 2005 and 2006, and it hit new heights while they were working on Dhoom 2 and Guru. On April 20, 2007, they got married in a big but small celebration.

Amitabh said that Abhishek asked Aishwarya to marry him in the US in an interview after the wedding.

Amitabh told Mid-Day at the time, “Abhishek and Aishwarya are fond of each other. In New York, after the premiere of Guru, Abhishek called me and said that he proposed to her. I said, ‘Come on home.’ I asked Aishwarya if she was happy. She said yes. I picked them up and took her home. I told her, this is your home. Humko kya lena dena hai aur kuch se? (How does anything else matter?)."
