Shraddha Murder Case: Delhi Police can file charge sheet in Saket court today

Shraddha Murder Case: Delhi Police can file charge sheet in Saket court today

In the Shraddha Walkar case that shook the nation, the Delhi Police may soon file a case against the accused Aftab Amin Poonawalla. Now information is coming that the Delhi Police may file a charge sheet before the Saket District Court on Tuesday i.e. January 24, 2023. According to news agency IANS, Delhi Police may file a charge sheet in the Shraddha Walker murder case before the Saket district court on Tuesday. The charge sheet is expected to run into over 3,000 pages with 100 witnesses in the case. Forensic and electronic evidence has also been included in this charge sheet, sources said. In the charge sheet, the police have also referred to the DNA reports of the hair and bone samples recovered from a forest in Mehrauli on January 4, which confirmed that these were Shraddha's bones.

On January 6, through an application moved by the lawyer of Poonawalla, accused in the murder case, seeking release of money from his bank account, saying that he did not have enough warm clothes to combat the cold inside the jail, the court He had also directed the jail authorities to provide warm clothes to him.

Aftab was produced before Metropolitan Magistrate Aviral Shukla, where he demanded a law book to read. The court had on January 10 extended his judicial custody by 14 days. Aftab Poonawalla is accused of strangulating his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar to death in Delhi's Chhatarpur area on May 18 last year and dismembering her body into several pieces and throwing it in a forest in Mehrauli area.
