Aftab Amin Poonawala, accused in this case, has appeared in the Saket court on Friday. Saket court has decided to extend Aftab's judicial custody. According to this new order, Aftab will now remain in judicial custody for the next 14 days. The hearing took place through video conferencing.
According to the investigator of the case, there may be a new twist in the Shraddha murder case. The investigator told that Aftab is very clever, he can make new revelations regarding the case in the coming time. Aftab's narco test and polygraph test have been done.
The van carrying the accused Aftab was attacked 10 days back. There was a stir in the police department after this attack. According to the Delhi Police, it is necessary to take care of the safety of accused Aftab to solve the mystery of this case. After the attack on the van in the past, the police is paying special attention to Aftab's security.
Aftab Amin Poonawala is the main accused in this case. There is no solid evidence in the hands of the police regarding this case. For this reason, the entire action of the police is revolving around the statements given by Aftab. The police have also tried to search the CCTV footage around Aftab's flat, but the old footage has not been saved with anyone regarding this incident which took place 6 months ago. This is the reason why the police is taking time to solve the matter.
