Shooting at South Africa's Johannesburg bar kills 14

At least 14 people were killed in a late night shooting in South Africa's Soweto township near Johannesburg. The police gave this information on Sunday. "We were called around 12:30 in the morning," Police Lieutenant Ilyas Mawela said after the late night firing. "When we reached the spot, it was confirmed that 12 people were killed," he said. Mavela said 11 other injured were taken to hospital, but two later died, raising the death toll to 14. The bar was located in Soweto's Orlando district (Johannesburg's largest settlement), southeast of the capital.
