Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached India. The Prime Minister was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival in Delhi. Hasina arrived here on a four-day visit at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. During the visit, Bangladesh and India are expected to sign seven agreements in several areas including water management, railways and science and technology. Along with this, many important issues will also be discussed.
Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, in an interview given before her visit to India, said about Rohingya Muslims that 'this is a big burden for us. We are in consultation with the international community and our neighbours. So that the Rohingya can go back home. We are giving shelter to Rohingyas, providing everything. Hasina said that we were also provided with the vaccine during Covid. But the question is how long will they stay here. Some people are involved in drug smuggling, women smuggling. The sooner they go back to their homes, the better for our country and for Myanmar.
The PM of Bangladesh said about the economy of his country that 'Our economy is still very strong. We faced the corona pandemic, Ukraine and Russia war also affected us but Bangladesh has been repaying the loan on time. I don't think we will ever face Sri Lanka-like situation.
