India's Operation Sindoor
The tensions between India and Pakistan intensified following the deaths of 26 people following the April 22nd Pahalgam attack.
In retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, on May 7, India launched Operation Sindoor - attacking terrorist targets in nine locations in Pakistani controlled territory and killing more than 100 terrorists in the process.
Operation Sindoor also destroyed significant terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which were sources of terrorist attacks directed against India.

On May 10, a surprise strike at eight Pakistani airbases, including Murid and Nur Khan air bases, was undertaken by India's military in retaliation for a series of Pakistani strikes on a variety of military facilities earlier in the day.
The Indian Air Force struck a selection of military targets which included runways, hangars, command and control centres, radar bases, missile sites and weapon storage sites. That day, a common understanding was established between the two countries to cease hostilities.
