Sheena Bora Murder Case: Big relief to Indrani Mukerjea from Supreme Court, bail plea approved
The CBI has been probing the case since 2012. Indrani is alleged to have strangled Sheena to death and buried the body in a forest in Raigad district.

Indrani Mukerjea, the main accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. Court grants bail to Indrani Mukerjea. Indrani Mukherjee, who is in judicial custody of the special CBI court, had filed a bail petition in the Supreme Court. Earlier, Indrani Mukerjea could not get bail from the Bombay High Court.
Indrani Mukerjea has been lodged in the Byculla Women's Prison in Mumbai since her arrest in August 2015. The special CBI court had also refused bail to Indrani several times. Indrani Mukerjea is facing trial since April 24, 2012 for the murder of her daughter Sheena.
Mukherjee is facing trial for the murder of his daughter Sheena on April 24, 2012. He was arrested by Khar Police on 25 August 2015 and is lodged in Byculla Jail since September 2015. Indrani was accused of strangling her daughter Sheena to death in Mumbai's Bandra and buried the body in Raigad district. Investigating agencies claimed that the remains of Sheena Bora have also been found.
