Having already earned a name in their own fields, the sharks have been chosen as experts to judge the pitchers.
Shark Tank is often credited with creating the Shark Tank effect. Even appearing on the show without getting an offer can dramatically boost sales for companies. After the show aired, some entrepreneurs reported a 10- to 20-fold increase in daily revenues.

Aman Gupta
The co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boat Lifestyle is also a judge on Shark Tank India.
The 37-year-old Aman Gupta was born on 16 August 1984 in Delhi to Neeraj Gupta (Father) and Jyoti Kochar Gupta (Mother).
In 1998, Aman Gupta earned a B. Com degree from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi. In 1999, he enrolled in the ICAI CA program during his undergraduate studies.
Upon completion of CA, he joined City Bank where he served as an Assistant Manager. Eventually, he co-founded Advanced Telemedia Pvt. Ltd. with his father in September 2005.
After much struggle in the business, he applied for MBA admission in 2010. Following his MBA, he worked for Harman International (as a director) and KPMG (as a senior manager consultant).
As a result of his hard work and dedication, he is now here. Nobody gets success easily.
Ritesh Agarwal
It has been estimated that Ritesh Agarwal's net worth is around $16,000 crore as of March 2024. Agarwal is the founder and CEO of OYO Rooms.
Before moving to Delhi for college in 2011, he graduated from Sacred Heart School and St. Johns Senior Secondary School.
"Oravel Stays" is Agarwal's Airbnb equivalent. The startup went through Venture Nursery in 2012 and won the 2013 Thiel Fellowship, receiving $100,000.
Deepinder goyal
After performing below average in school, Deepinder Goyal struggled to pass his classes until he reached class eight. When one of his teachers provided him with a solved answer sheet during his first semester of study sessions in class 8, Deepinder placed third in the class. Due to the praise he received from his parents and professors, he decided to continue studying diligently. He studied science at D.A.V. College in Chandigarh for classes XI and XII after improving his grades for two years.
Despite difficulties throughout his academic career, he was able to pass the Joint Entrance Examination of the Indian Institutes of Technology on his first attempt.
Deepinder Goyal graduated from IIT Delhi in 2005 with a degree in Mathematics and Computing
Anupam Mittal
As the founder and CEO of People Group and Shaadi.com, Anupam Mittal (born December 23, 1974) is an Indian entrepreneur, business executive, and angel investor. Besides founding Shaadi.com, an Indian online wedding service, he has also invested in over 250 companies on Shark Tank Seasons 1, 2, and 3.
He graduated from Boston College, Massachusetts, with an MBA in Operations and Strategic Management. He attended Jai Hind College.
In 1997, Mittal started the first online matrimonial portal of its kind, now known as Shaadi.com, after working as a product manager at MicroStrategy.
Namita Thapar
Namita Thapar is an Indian entrepreneur, business executive, and angel investor who has invested in more than 100 companies in Shark Tank India.
Her MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business was completed in 2001, and she is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
As soon as she completed her MBA, she moved to the US and took on the role of Business Finance head at Guidant Corporation.
Vineeta Singh
Founder and CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, Vineeta Singh has been a shark (i.e. judge/investor) on Shark Tank India since the show premiered on SonyLIV in 2021.
A graduate of Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, Singh enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) in 2001. She earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from IIT-M in 2005, followed by a master's degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad).
She rejected a job at Deutsche Bank during her MBA studies in 2006, despite earning Rs 1 crore a year. A graduate who rejected the same offer and Singh wanted to start their own lingerie business, but the idea failed to take off because they were unable to raise the required funding for it.
Radhika Gupta
At the University of Pennsylvania, Radhika Gupta earned a B.S.E. in Computer Science Engineering.She also did a B.Sc. in Economics from The Wharton School and a Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology.
Peyush Bansal
As well as being an Indian entrepreneur, Peyush Bansal also invests in angels and businesses. In addition to his degree in engineering, Peyush Bansal holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB).
He is the co-founder and CEO of Lenskart. The foundation of his entrepreneurial journey was laid by his engineering and business education.
